The Wahoo Area Arts Council (WAAC) was founded in the spring of 2025 to celebrate and encourage the arts scene in our area. Our mission is to support creativity in all its forms from performance to digital to traditional mediums.

The WAAC is lead by a board of seven volunteers and supported by annual Patron and Benefactor memberships.

The inaugural board of directors includes: Beverly Bettendorf, Ivie Brigham, Ann Brock, Alissa Hansen, Luke Rustermier, Julie Scott and Kathryn Nygren. Community liaisons to the board are Christina Fasel (City of Wahoo) and Theresa Klein (Wahoo Chamber and Economic Development).
